ENTRANSFOOD
European network on safety assessment of genetically modified food crops. Cluster of projects on the safety assessment of "first generation" GM foods. Funded under the European Commission’s 5th Framework Programme.

SAFOTEST
New methods for safety testing of transgenic foods. Part of the ENTRANSFOOD network, funded under the European Commission’s 5th Framework Programme. Direct predecessor of NOFORISK.

CREMe
CREMe (Central Risk & Exposure Modelling e-solution) is a new state-of-the-art software tool for the analysis of human exposure to a wide range of food-borne chemical hazards. Examples of such hazards include novel foods, genetically modified foods, flavourings, contaminants, food packaging migratory compounds and other items that may pose a risk to human health.

CREMe is developed by the Institute of European Food Studies and the Trinity Centre for High Performance Computing, both based in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

MONTECARLO
Development, validation and application of stochastic modelling of human exposure to food chemicals and nutrients. Project on probabilistic intake and exposure assessment, funded under the European Commission’s 5th Framework Programme. Results feed directly into NOFORISK work package 5.

Research on consumer attitudes:

CROSSENZ
Novel cross-linking enzymes for structure engineering and their consumer acceptance. Project on consumer attitudes towards enzymes produced with the help of GM plants and micro-organisms. Funded under the European Commission’s 5th Framework Programme.

LSES
Life sciences in European society. Project on policy formation, media representation, and public opinion about biotechnology. Funded under the European Commission’s 5th Framework Programme.

CADE-GENTECH
Consumer attitudes and decision-making with regard to genetically modified food products. Project on content, structure, and changeability of consumer attitudes towards GM foods. Funded under the European Commission’s 4th Framework Programme.

PABE
Public perceptions of agricultural biotechnologies in Europe. Qualitative research on consumer attitudes towards GM foods. Funded under the European Commission’s 4th Framework Programme.

ADAPTA
